Civic Construction Projects Building Projects Civil & Infrastructure Projects

September Newsletter

We have been very busy with our various civil, building and civic projects across Victoria, all tracking exceptionally well. We were also delighted to hear that a few of our favourite civic streetscape and landscape projects were winners at the 2018 VIC Landscape Architecture Awards.

The construction of the new Burnside Community Centre is now complete.

Through consultation with the local community, the Melton City Council identified the need to provide additional support services for the senior residents within the local community.

The Burnside Community Centre project included an extension to the existing Early Years Centre and provided a 510m2 single-storey extension which incorporated new Meeting and Community Rooms, Public Amenities and a small Commercial Kitchen.

Due to an anticipated increase in the facilities use, the existing carpark was also extended by approximately 1200m2 to accommodate the additional traffic flow.

Sunbury Secondary College Official Site Visit

The Sunbury Secondary College upgrade is a multi-million project and includes the construction of a brand new, state-of-the-art Science Wing, new Learning Spaces and Classrooms. Construction will be completed over three stages.

Stage one involves the construction of a new Science and Year 7 wing. With the concrete slab and structural steel erection completed, this project milestone was marked by hosting an Official Site Visit.

In attendance was 2C Project Manager Bill North, Site Manager Hayden Childs, and Contract Administrator Lina Alexopoulos, MP Josh Bull (who was also a student at the college quite a few years ago) and Sunbury Secondary College Principal, Principal Assistant, and Student Prefects.

With the construction of this multi-million dollar upgrade, the community of Sunbury will finally have the modern facilities they deserve, and students at Sunbury College will receive a high-quality learning environment where they will be engaged, stimulated and encouraged to be creative thinkers.
