2C NEWS - August 2018

We're at the tail end of winter and 2Construct are in the completion stages of a number of projects, with numerous projects ready commence in Spring.


The Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards 2018 ceremony took place recently in Melbourne and The City of Melbourne’s North Melbourne Recreation Reserve Multi-Use Sports Court has claimed the Polytan Inclusive Sport, Recreation or Open Infrastructure Award for 2018.

2Construct were engaged by the City of Melbourne as the head contractor for this project, and feel proud to have played a part in this incredible project which provides a positive outcome for the community.

The creator of these awards, Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) believe every person has the right to live the life they want, with opportunities to take part in sport and recreation for improved health and wellbeing.

The Showroom Show-Off

To mark the completion of the building works at the new BMW Dealership and Showrooms in Brighton, the 2Construct project team organised a company site tour to share the successful project with fellow staff members. The new BMW Dealership on Nepean Highway, Brighton is ready for handover, and the client is excited about the fit-out and move to their state-of-the-art showrooms, offices and workshop.

Brighton Annandale Pavilion nears completion! 

Brighton Grammar gets a new Annandale Pavilion. The 1300m2, two-storey pavilion plus part basement accommodate the high-performance teaching space, staff & managers office. Strength and conditioning spaces, together with VCE learning classrooms and function spaces are provided on the upper levels. New change rooms including showers and amenities support the existing sports oval and synthetic soccer pitch.

The scope of work also includes the realignment and reconstruction of the public access thoroughfare (Cramer Walk) through the school grounds.

New beginnings for Sandringham East Primary School.

With works recently commencing, 2C's Joe Hastie, Aaron Comerford & Ron Ellerbock joined Minister Philip Dalidakas along with Wayne Stephens of Clarke Hopkins Clarke, staff members & students from Sandringham East Primary School, and members of the school council at the Sandringham East Primary school upgrade project.

Set for completion in September 2019. This new facility will provide a significant boost to the Sandy East Primary School family with great new spaces to enrich students’ learning experience in and outside the classroom. The State Government is upgrading schools and building news ones under its commitment to provide safe and state-of-the-art facilities for all students.
