The project scope involved the construction of a new 2300m2 free standing sports complex comprising of two basketball courts, amenities and storage areas, and sports staff office facilities.

The complex was built on a building bench prepared by others and comprised a reinforced concrete pad footing and raft slab substructure including all below ground services and structural steel superstructure.

The external building fabric comprises a metal deck roof, sandwich panel wall panels, and aluminum frames windows. The central court (1500m2) areas include a timber sports floor over a concrete substructure with spectator seating areas at one end. The internal walls and ceiling of the main hall are clad with CFC and plywood.

The amenities and office areas have been built from tiled and paint finished masonry walls with recycled rubber flooring throughout and plasterboard ceiling. The building perimeter was treated with Lilydale toppings pathways and an allowance for a substantial sleeper retaining wall and battered area for proposed water.
