The scope of work comprises the construction of the Newborough East Early Learning and Childcare Centre (ELCC), comprising the ELCC building, associated external play space, and a new 22‑space car park. The scope also includs the relocation of the existing oval and soccer field, including associated tree removal, fencing, and line marking as well as installation of a sewer rising main, construction of asphalt pavements, and make-good works.
The centre will provide long day care, Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs with space for up to 130 local children in the centre each day. The centre will have outdoor play areas, a carpark and a consulting room for child and family services, such as maternal and child health and allied health. It will also have a multi-purpose room for community meetings and playgroups.
