2Construct is thrilled to announce that three facilities at the 4Ten Epping industrial estate have been awarded a 5 Star Green Star Design & As-Built v1.3 rating from the Green Building Council of Australia for our client Frasers Property Industrial.
The 4Ten Epping development, home to Kitchen Warehouse Australia, Crusader Caravans Australia, and Intelligent Engineering, incorporates several sustainability features in each facility.
These include a 125KW solar power system, roofs designed to collect and harvest 100,000 litres of rainwater, the exclusive use of PVC-free materials, the inclusion of 8,000 native plants in the landscaping, a commitment to limit construction waste to a maximum of 5kg per m2 of Gross Floor Area (GFA), and the facilities having the ability to remotely monitor energy and water consumption for continual tracking of operational performance.
Additionally, the development achieved a 42% reduction in upfront embodied emissions!
