Tradies National Health Month 2025

This campaign, run annually by the APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association), aims to raise awareness about the health and injury risks faced by those who work in trade occupations. As tradies make up a significant portion of the Australian workforce, it is crucial to prioritise their health and well-being.

Tradies commonly present to physiotherapists with low back pain and neck and shoulder pain. Repetitive bending and heavy lifting in cases where a wheelbarrow or the like should be used, are often the culprit of many of the injuries. Seeking regular preventive health checks can reduce common musculoskeletal conditions, including muscle/tendon injuries and back pain.

Beyond the physical aspect, mental health is equally essential. Depression affects around one million Australians each year, while over two million experience anxiety. These conditions can have a profound impact on daily life, and seeking professional help is crucial for early intervention and support. If you or anyone you know might be experiencing depression or anxiety, it is essential to take the steps needed to improve mental well-being.

Over the month of August, 2Construct brought together our site teams, clients and subcontractors at St Peter's College, Airport Toyota, Footscray Arts Precinct, Assembly Drive and Huntingtower School to support Tradies National Health Month for our fourth consecutive year and raise awareness on the well-being of those in trade occupations.

We are thrilled to announce that we've raised a record-breaking total of $3,064.00 which has been donated to R U Ok Day – sparking conversations that can change a life.
