Southbank Boulevard and Dodds Street Transformation

2Construct - Soutbank Blvd Dodds St 01

The City of Melbourne set the direction to transform Southbank Boulevard and Dodds Street, in the heart of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct, into one of Australia’s most pedestrian-friendly places linking the Domain Parklands to the Yarra River. By connecting Southbank Boulevard to the Domain Parklands and the Yarra River, 2.5 hectares of new public open space will be created including new bike lanes, upgraded tram stops with ‘green’ tram tracks, parks and more trees.

Dodds Street will be remade into a public space incorporating street furniture, lights streets, lighting, way-finding signage and will cater for street performances, farmers markets and medium-scale music festivals at the doorstep of the Victorian College of the Arts.
